Our First Donation!

Thank you Scott S. for our very first donation towards bringing home Baby F.! We are so blessed to have you with us on our journey.

Steve

Steve graduated from college with a degree in Political Science and Public Administration and is pursuing his Master's Degree at this time. He is currently working at an elementary school where he works with students that exhibit challenging behaviors. He provides corrective teaching strategies and builds relationships with the students so that they are successful in school, as well as in all social situations. Steve is the local Little League President, as well as a coach for our son’s baseball team. You might also find him playing men's fast pitch softball or running the scoreboard for other local school sporting events. We live close to Steve’s father and brother so Steve helps out his father on a daily basis. We get together with his family on Sundays to enjoy a meal together.

Alicia

Alicia loves working with children and watching them grow! She has a degree in Child Development and PreK-Elementary Education. She teaches kindergarten in a school that is made up of a diverse population that has a very low socio-economic status. Alicia serves on her building’s Teacher Leadership Team as a mentor teacher and is also an advocate for teachers’ and students’ rights by filling an office with her local Education Association. On Sunday’s Alicia is also co-teaches a Sunday school class at our family’s church. Alicia grew up in a family with three sisters and a brother, all of which have families of their own now. She has ten nieces and nephews, a great nephew, and another great niece and nephew on the way!

Zach

Zach is our son from Alicia's first marriage. Zach has a very close relationship with both Alicia and Steve. Zach is in middle school and is very active in sports. He likes to spend time with his friends, play sports, swim, or play video games. Zach would like to go to college to become a veterinarian. Zach also has a great relationship with his father and spends some weekends with his dad, step-mother, and his younger brother and sister. He is looking forward to having a baby brother or sister here at our house, too!
